Master's Q & A

January 15, 2004

Q.
Master, everything is always changing. Does The Source also change?

A.

This is an interesting question to begin our ponderings for 2004. To understand the Source of All Being, one must understand the patterns that exist within creation, or the experiential realm. Indeed, one must cope with what we might call the "mega patterns" of involution and evolution (the two inversely balanced forces of the creative spectrum).

These two processes exist not only to balance each other, but to keep viable the connective link between the Source and humanity. Of course, all other forms or levels of consciousness are contained within this mechanism, although I shall only speak specifically to the relationship between Source and humanity. I will begin using a kind of linear explanation to demonstrate these two processes. Just know that in actuality, they are not really linear, and neither are they sequential. Rather, they are both going on all of the time, flowing in every conceivable (and perhaps some non-conceivable) directions.

What we are doing here, is tracing the flow of energy from Source to humanity (or involution) and the return flow from human to Source (evolution). In this creative process, you could say that the Source draws from Its unlimited undifferentiated - and inconceivably vast - reservoir of creative energy, focusing it inwardly, and deliberately slowing down the vibratory intensity. It does this by moving Its energy through successively denser and denser states of consciousness, or states of being, most of which is way too complicated to describe in physical terminology. Within this vastly brilliant and infinitely compelling creative energy, something like a cosmic realm is created, which we could call the realm of the Monads.

Now a Monad is simply a spark of Source energy. But while we must call it only a "spark" in relationship to the Source, in comparison to the human realm it is immensely vast and contains entire realms of highly charged and creatively potent and conscious energy. By this I am saying that if a Monad ever so much as simply took thought of Earth (or any physically congealed material,) that mere taking notice of it would cause it to explode instantly. The consciousness that exists at this level is vibrating at such a high frequency that no material substance would be able to tolerate Its focus. As each Monad is generated, it is given an assignment to go discover Creation, indeed become Creation, and to then return to the Source as a Peer. Having studied all that is and incorporating this allness into the point of identification that each Monad is seeking to learn, It then should become a Source within Its own right.

It is probably good to understand that the Source of All Being exists in a non-manifest realm. Within that infinite non-manifestation is generated a manifest realm (although not physically manifest), the Monadic realm. Thus, the relationship of Source to Monad is both separate, yet one. At a certain point within the Monad's "education," It will be instructed to precipitate Itself in like manner to yet another realm within the Monadic realm, called the Soul realm. Thus we have a non-manifest realm (Source) precipitating Itself into a manifest realm (Monad), precipitating Itself into another non-manifest realm (Soul). Likewise, the Soul will eventually extend/precipitate Itself into multiple manifest realms, one of which is the physical realm. Of course, all of this happens over what you would call "eons" of time, with tremendous learning going on all along the way. What I have just described here in the process of involution.

Indeed, involution does not stop here, for within your own manifest consciousness, you can realize a vast realm of non-manifest awareness. This is what you know as the internal parts of self. If you look carefully inward, you will discover there are many, many of "you" that are not manifest. Each of you has a student part, but likewise a teacher part. You have a parent part, and likewise a child part. You have a wise old sage, and an infant squalling to get its own way. You have one (or several) creative part(s). Some of you have a fairly dominant drill sergeant within. Some of you have an active hedonist within. Can you recognize the philosopher? How about the architect, or the musician, or the cartoonist, etc.? All these are levels of awareness that are seeking to become manifest (physical level) as you seek to become non-manifest (Soul level). Indeed you are only following the example of the Source of All Being.

The process of evolution, on the other hand, is the return journey. Since you find yourselves in physical form, you can know that you are on the evolutional path, since you are seeking to expand your awareness to a point so vast that it can literally contain the Soul. Now of course, by the time you have accomplished that, you will no longer be physical. The full Soul-awareness, or Essence, is simply too vast to be contained in a physical body. Indeed, you will need to be at the 10th Bodhisattva level (a non-physical level) to come close to this state. When you are able to contain your full Essence (of course you will not think of yourself as a "you" anymore), you will be ready to embark upon the next vast journey of becoming so expansive as to contain "your" Monad. The completed Monad then must expand into a vastness great enough to contain the Source of All Being, for such is the fully realized process of evolution.

Hence, we can easily see a cosmic pattern playing out. Just as your own internal, non-manifest realm(s) of being are a focus within a focus (i.e., it/they are within you), so your manifestation is a focus within a greater non-manifest focus (Soul), which is a focus within a greater manifest focus (Monad) which is a focus within a greater non-manifest focus (Source of All Being). Given this pattern, it is likely that our Source is a Focus within an even greater Focus, Which may be a Focus within an even Greater Focus, etc. And since you can readily experience how everything you know about is in a constant state of change, you might project up the pattern a similar course of flow. Of course, this is not something you are likely to "prove" at the physical level, but given an understanding of pattern for Being, you can probably conclude that each level of the pattern reflects something of the higher, or greater, level of the pattern. I'm sure you have heard the saying, "As above, so below." This is only speaking to the reflective/precipitative ability of the pattern to recreate itself at successively lesser and greater levels. Have fun playing in the Cosmos!
