Retreats and Seminars

One of the most incredible spiritual experiences one can encounter is sitting in the presence of a Spiritual Master Teacher. To open one’s heart through receiving a direct spiritual transmission is both powerful and transformative.

The format of the spiritual retreat remains a time-honored practice hundreds of years old in nearly every spiritual tradition. Leaving the routine of one’s normal life for even the short period of a weekend can offer time for personal instruction, reflection and contemplation. Further, it can open the door to new possibilities for serious spiritual aspirants. A dedicated time away from the constraints of the world, guided by a Spiritual Master, can refresh, renew, refocus, and even rehabilitate the spiritual seeker in today’s complicated and often chaotic world.

The seminar, a modern format for gaining spiritual instruction and clarified focus, offers participants an opportunity to directly experience the power of receiving timeless wisdom teachings. Additionally, this format provides a venue for interesting and enjoyable connection with other fellow travelers.

Sitting Before a Master Teacher

Protocol

When attending a retreat or spiritual event, please wear comfortable and casual clothing. However, when sitting before a Spiritual Master, it is appropriate to refrain from wearing shorts, tank tops or disheveled attire. If you are sitting on the floor before Master, it is important not to point your feet toward Him. In the East, this is an insulting gesture, and here in the West we want to practice courtesy and reverence toward our precious Master Djwhal Khul

When you enter the temple space, please remove your shoes. There are two reasons for this. In the first place, you will not bring in mud, dust and dirt from outside. Further, the chakras on the soles of your feet are freed to exchange energy and “breathe.” When Master enters the temple space, it is appropriate to stand to show respect. This also instructs the lower self to rise to meet the Master.
