Sneak Peek at Contemplative Practices that lead to Enlightenment

Do you want to learn how to enter the “zone” where mystical revelations occur? In Chapter 16 of Master’s new book, Whatever Happened to the New Age? He offers practices that help to move analytical mind aside so we can draw instead upon the capacities of contemplative mind. He offers contemplative exercises to help us subdue the untamed mind that causes us such suffering and allows it to rest in the vast sea of calm and abiding peace.

According to Master, it is possible to train the mind to be receptive to flashes of awakening insight that lead directly to episodes of enlightenment. He says daily contemplation stimulates flashes of insight. While you await the publication of this new book, why not try one of the exercises he suggests in this chapter?

Contemplate this quote from French novelist Anais Nin in Seduction of the Minotaur, “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” Then notice if flashes of insight begin to dawn. Such insights offer deeper wisdom that allows one to see through the illusions of ordinary mind. This will draw one toward the field of enlightenment.

In another quote from this chapter, he said, “Genuine spiritual enlightenment relieves one of his or her prior consciousness and instead she or he becomes aware of the true nature of everything.”

If you ponder deeply the Daily Thoughts, it can become a spiritual practice.  Each daily reflection is intended to help move your analytical mind aside as you delve into the contemplative saying and access apprehending mind. Thus, you’ll be stimulating and stabilizing flashes of insight as you draw your enlightenment to you.
